A lifetime of engineering, languages and art, alongside natural and built environments all inspire and inform my practice. I love that information and physical objects can be put together in so many ways and at the same time experienced so differently by individuals.
All around me I see everyday items and scenes that can be simplified, abstracted, built or viewed ‘differently’. To me, each transient image or object is just one of many possibilities, somehow frozen at that fleeting moment in time. My work is an intrinsic combination of research, engineering discipline and creative freedom. I examine structure, politics, design and components, with a parallel and sometimes sideways layer of bias and inequality.
Although my drawings are the focus on this web site store, that is because they are the easiest to post - my other work can be seen at events. I love to build large, but of course, that’s hardest of all to post!
